Amar Prasad Reddy appointed head of TN BJP's youth and sports cell

The BJP Tamil Nadu unit has appointed Amar Prasad Reddy as its state President of the newly created Youth Development and Sports Cell.

Reddy's appointment was announced by BJP state president K Annamalai in a party statement.

The cell was formed coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 and with an aim to promote young sporting talent from Tamil Nadu and bring laurels to the state, the release said.

The release said India put up a good show in the just concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020 due to the importance accorded to the sports sector by the Prime Minister.
