Qatar cbank governor: dollar peg is appropriate, doesn't see immediate need to change that policy

Qatar's currency's is pegged to the US dollar and the policy is appropriate for the country's economy, Central Bank Governor Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud al-Thani told a conference on Wednesday in Doha.

"We believe this policy is appropriate for Qatar's economy and we don't see an immediate need to change that policy," al-Thani said at the Qatar Economic Forum, organised by Bloomberg.
