Sanjay Raut Calls on PM Modi to Concede Defeat After Election Setback

Raut asserts that the people have rejected Modi's government, as per early trends indicating a stronger performance by the Congress-led INDIA bloc.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to concede defeat, insisting that the people have rejected his government.

During a press briefing, Raut predicted that the BJP would secure fewer than 240 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

He further claimed, ‘We have halted Narendra Modi’s momentum in Maharashtra. The Prime Minister should admit defeat as the electorate has repudiated his administration.’ In early trends from the Election Commission, the BJP was ahead in 233 seats and had secured victory in ten seats nationwide. The Congress-led INDIA bloc was leading in 200 seats, outperforming exit poll predictions.
