BJP's Amit Malviya Challenges Mamata Banerjee Amid Defamation Row

Amit Malviya, BJP's Bengal co-in-charge, has announced legal action against lawyer Santanu Sinha for defamatory comments. Malviya accuses TMC of smear campaigns to deter him from West Bengal. He remains steadfast until justice is achieved for Sandeshkhali women, challenging Mamata Banerjee to engage through proper channels.

BJP leader Amit Malviya, who serves as the party’s Bengal co-in-charge and IT cell chief, declared his intent to pursue a criminal defamation case against Kolkata-based lawyer Santanu Sinha following allegations made against him.

Malviya firmly asserted that these accusations, orchestrated by the TMC, aim to keep him away from West Bengal—a strategy he insists will fail. He urged Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to address Sandeshkhali-related issues through proper channels rather than resorting to smear tactics.

Malviya highlighted his commitment to stay in the state until BJP ensures justice for the women of Sandeshkhali and ousts TMC from power. He emphasized the defamation battle is a part of his broader effort to bring fairness to the region.
