PM Modi's Milestone Visit: Inaugurates Projects, Celebrates Yoga in J&K

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jammu and Kashmir for two days to inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,500 crore and participate in International Yoga Day. This marks his first visit after taking office for the third term. Comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place for the visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a pivotal two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, inaugurating projects worth Rs 1,500 crore and participating in International Yoga Day celebrations.

'Leaving for Srinagar, where I will be taking part in two programmes. Later this evening, I will be at the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' programme,' Modi announced on his X account before departure.

This significant visit marks Modi’s first trip to the region since assuming office for his third term. Key infrastructural and educational projects, among others, will take center stage during his visit. Additionally, the Prime Minister will participate in the 10th International Day of Yoga event, alongside 7,000 participants, at SKICC in Srinagar.

Stringent security measures are in place to ensure a smooth visit, with the city declared a 'Temporary Red Zone' for drone operations. Various yoga events have been conducted in the valley in anticipation of the main function.
