The BJP launched a scathing critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, following his party's solo protest in the Lok Sabha against a resolution condemning the 1975 Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi.
Speaker Om Birla's resolution sparked a chaotic session, with Congress members vocally opposing while key allies SP, DMK, and TMC remained passive, isolating Gandhi in the process.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra pointed to Rahul Gandhi's hesitation during the protest and accused the Congress of clinging to a 'power-hungry' legacy. He commended the allies for their respectful silence in honoring Emergency victims.
