In a move likely to impact the upcoming assembly polls, Haryana's BJP government unveiled a series of benefits for Agniveers. These include a 10% reservation in recruitment for constable, forest guard, and jail warden positions.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also announced interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh for Agniveers wishing to start their own businesses.
Furthermore, age relaxation and financial incentives for industrial units employing Agniveers were introduced, alongside priority arms licences, amidst ongoing criticism of the Agnipath scheme.
