Senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday questioned why central agencies have not arrested Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET irregularities, during the TMC's mega rally in Kolkata.

Banerjee pointed out that former West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee was arrested in the school recruitment scam and challenged the BJP's reliance on central agencies and money power for electoral victory.

He criticized the BJP-led central government for halting funds for West Bengal and urged TMC supporters to prepare for the 2026 assembly elections. Banerjee also announced a review of the performance of local leaders in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
