National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah on Tuesday praised the Supreme Court's interim stay on the Kanwar Yatra order concerning eateries in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He emphasized that even the Amarnath Yatra is not possible without the support of Muslims.
Abdullah criticized the Kanwar Yatra order, suggesting it was created to exclude Muslims, and highlighted that annual pilgrimages like Amarnath and Vaishno Devi rely heavily on Muslim support.
Abdullah also commented on the Centre's decision to allow government employees to participate in RSS functions, advocating for a similar allowance for political party events. He noted the importance of addressing unemployment and basic utility issues in Jammu and Kashmir in the Union Budget.
