Karnataka Govt to Unveil Alleged Illegal Muda Site Allocations by Previous BJP Regime

Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar announced an impending release of a list exposing Muda sites illegally allotted under the previous BJP government. Amidst ongoing investigations, he vowed to disclose BJP's scams and asserted that BJP's protests are mere attempts to derail legislative proceedings.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced on Thursday that the government will soon release a list of Muda sites allegedly illegally allotted by the previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime. Addressing reporters at Vidhana Soudha, he mentioned the media had reported these sites were allocated by the BJP two years ago. 'The BJP could have admitted it during the discussion in the session, but they are scared that their misdeeds will come out,' he stated.

'We allowed detailed discussions on the Valmiki Development Corporation scam, and BJP leaders raised many issues. However, they did not allow Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah to respond, fearing exposure. The CM has documented the BJP's scams in writing, and an inquiry into all those scams has been ordered,' he explained. 'The guilty will be punished in the Valmiki Development Corporation case. BJP is now making a hue and cry about Muda. The Chief Minister has already ordered an investigation, and we invite the Opposition to provide any documentation they have. Any irregularity that occurred did so under BJP's rule,' he continued.

'Investigations are ongoing, and we will expose BJP's scams during the tenure of BS Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai. They are attempting to obstruct Assembly proceedings, but we will uncover all their scams,' he added. When questioned about BJP's plan for a padayatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru to protest Muda irregularities, he replied, 'Let them walk to Delhi; we will release the list and expose their scams.'

Asked about the recovery of siphoned-off funds in the Bhovi Development Corporation, he admitted, 'I am not aware of the details of the investigation; I only learned about it from the media. The BJP has cheated the scheduled castes, tribes, and other backward classes. The people elected us because they could not stand BJP's corruption.' (ANI)
