BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Friday criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his comments regarding Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids. Dubey claimed that the Congress's policies and workers had failed in Wayanad, and Gandhi's statements were a diversionary tactic to shift focus from this issue. Dubey added, "If Rahul has not done any corruption, the ED will not conduct a raid."
Speaking on the ED's actions, Dubey mentioned, "ED raids the corrupt. If they have done corruption, then ED will raid; if not, then there will be no raid. The reason for this (Rahul Gandhi's post) is that Congress workers in Wayanad and Congress's policies have failed. They want to divert attention from the issue of Wayanad." Earlier today, Gandhi claimed that the ED was planning to raid him following his 'Chakravtyuh' speech in parliament on July 29.
Rahul Gandhi, in a post on X, stated, "Apparently, 2 in 1 didn't like my Chakravyuh speech. ED 'insiders' tell me a raid is being planned. Waiting with open arms, @dir_ed. Chai and biscuits on me." This comment followed Gandhi's attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a discussion on the Union Budget 2024 in the Lok Sabha on July 29, where he said farmers, workers, and youngsters are terrified.
Gandhi criticized PM Modi for prominently displaying the lotus symbol, alleging that a new 'Chakravyuh' had been created in the 21st century. In response, BJP Lok Sabha MP Anurag Thakur retorted that some individuals are 'accidental Hindus' and possess accidental knowledge of Mahabharata. Thakur's comments were aimed at Gandhi's 'Chakravyuh' statements, emphasizing that the country has witnessed many 'Chakravyuhs' orchestrated by the Congress Party. (ANI)
