BJP's Dominance in Assam: Teli and Das Elected Unopposed to Rajya Sabha
BJP candidates Rameswar Teli and Mission Ranjan Das were elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Assam. They collected their winners’ certificates on Monday. Teli, former Union minister, and Das, a veteran politician, gratefully acknowledged their party leaders. The opposition did not field candidates for the election.

In a significant political development, BJP candidates Rameswar Teli and Mission Ranjan Das have been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Assam.
Their victory came as they collected their winners' certificates from the Returning Officer on Monday, following elections which became necessary after Sarbananda Sonowal and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa were elected to the Lok Sabha.
Both candidates expressed gratitude towards their party leaders and promised to effectively voice relevant matters in the Rajya Sabha. The opposition parties did not field any candidates for this election, further solidifying BJP's dominance in Assam.
