Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a strong call to global leaders to stand united with Ukraine, rather than seeking easy alternatives to achieving a 'real, just peace.' This comes more than two years into Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Facing increasing pressure from Western allies and some Ukrainians to negotiate a ceasefire, President Zelenskyy firmly reiterated his stance at the U.N. General Assembly. He emphasized that his 'peace formula,' which includes the expulsion of all Russian forces from Ukraine and accountability for war crimes, offers the only viable solution.

'Any parallel or alternative attempts to seek peace are, in fact, efforts to achieve an out instead of an end to the war,' Zelenskyy stated. He implored the global community to act as 'united nations' to bring about peace.
