Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has publicly criticized veteran social activist Anna Hazare for allegedly failing to speak out against what he describes as 'irregularities' under the BJP-led governments since 2014.

Raut's sharp comments came in the backdrop of Hazare's recent suggestion that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lost the Delhi assembly election because of Arvind Kejriwal's financial motivations. The critique from Hazare did not go unanswered, as the social activist remarked on people's interpretations being shaped by their mental frameworks.

Raut further asserted that without figures like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, Hazare would not have gained significant visibility to protest against corruption in Delhi. Hazare, however, countered these criticisms by implying that Raut views reality through a politically tinted perspective.
