The discussions also covered pressing regional and global issues, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. The Amir's visit, his second to India, follows Modi's visit to Qatar in February 2024, marking a continued commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

A revised agreement on avoiding double taxation and preventing fiscal evasion was signed, reinforcing economic cooperation. This strategic partnership aims to foster trade, innovation, food security, and people-to-people exchanges, cementing the special ties shared by India and Qatar.
