In preparation for the upcoming budget session, Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato convened a meeting with senior officials on Tuesday to discuss strategies ensuring smooth proceedings.
The budget session, spanning from February 24 to March 27, will require the presence of senior staff from various state departments. This is crucial so that ministers can access necessary information during discussions in the House.
Mahato emphasized the importance of bills being handed to the secretariat three days prior to being tabled. Among the meeting attendees were Jharkhand Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, DGP Anurag Gupta, and Principal Secretary of Home Department Vandana Dadel. The state's budget for 2025-26 will be presented on March 3, marking the first budget under the Hemant Soren-led government.
