Modi's Fodder Scam Jibe: A Focus on Farmers' Welfare

In a fiery speech targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday insinuated that those embroiled in the fodder scam are incapable of prioritizing farmers' welfare in India. The PM's remarks at a Bhagalpur rally emphasized the NDA's commitment to agricultural growth.

Modi pointed out that initiatives like the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme have directly benefited farmers, crediting them with over Rs 22,000 crore just recently. He underlined the importance of ensuring that every penny reaches the intended beneficiaries, a priority under his administration.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to bolster agricultural exports, Modi announced plans to elevate Bihar's Makhana to global superfood status. The recent budget proposal includes establishing a Makhana board, indicating a focused push towards enhancing farm incomes and market reach.
