The Aam Aadmi Party escalated its protest on Wednesday following allegations that B.R. Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh's portraits were removed from the chief minister's office after the Bharatiya Janata Party assumed control in Delhi.

During a press conference, AAP MLA Sanjiv Jha, alongside colleague Kuldeep Kumar, disclosed that their party's legislators faced suspension for voicing the 'Jai Bheem' slogan, whereas opposing BJP MLAs chanted 'Modi-Modi' but faced no penalties.

AAP's resolute stance was further underscored as Jha declared their refusal to tolerate the 'removal' of the portraits. Speaker Vijender Gupta has suspended 21 AAP MLAs, amidst denials from BJP accusing AAP of spreading false information while confirming that portraits are duly displayed.
