He dismissed concerns regarding military drills by Russia, China, and Iran, and suggested a potential minerals agreement between the U.S. and Ukraine, urging a desire for peace.
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism on Sunday regarding ongoing talks between the United States and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia. Speaking to reporters, Trump indicated a nearly complete lift of an intelligence pause on Ukraine.
He pointed out that the administration is examining various factors, including tariffs on Russia, and showed no concern over joint military exercises conducted by Russia, China, and Iran. "We're going to make a lot of progress, I believe, this week," Trump stated confidently.
When asked about ending the intelligence sharing suspension with Ukraine, Trump reiterated, "We just about have." He expressed his belief that Ukraine may sign a minerals agreement with the U.S., emphasizing his desire for Ukraine to pursue peace.
