Congress MP Digvijaya Singh has openly criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), revealing he was previously advised not to voice opposition during his tenure as Madhya Pradesh's chief minister, fearing backlash from Hindu communities.

Singh praised Rahul Gandhi's robust stance against those within Congress who clandestinely support the ruling BJP. Gandhi, addressing party workers in Ahmedabad, called for a segregation among Congress members to identify those truly aligned with the party's ideology and the public's interests. He warned of stern measures, including potential expulsions, against those failing to meet the party's standards.

Singh contested the notion that the RSS represents Hinduism, alleging it manipulates religious sentiments for political gain. He challenged the RSS and BJP's claim to Hindu traditions, questioning their affiliations with revered Hindu religious leaders.
