The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing critique of the Himachal Pradesh government on Monday, accusing it of shutting down public schools and collaborating with privately-run institutions. The opposition charged the Congress leaders with unfulfilled job promises and rejection of federal assistance.
BJP state unit chief Rajeev Bindal, speaking in Una, questioned the Congress party's claim of creating five lakh permanent government jobs. "Where did these jobs go? There are unemployed people on the roads," Bindal insisted. He also pointed out Congress's opposition to institutions like AIIMS despite being valuable gifts from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Further, Bindal accused the Congress government of disrespecting central support for medical colleges and infrastructure projects like a cancer hospital. He remarked on the lack of gratitude from state leaders, despite frequent support visits by Union Health Minister JP Nadda.
