The U.S. has recently curtailed military aid to Ukraine, following a tiff between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, leading to successes for Russian forces against Ukraine. Russian politicians have been vocal about the perceived setbacks for Zelenskiy, who they deem was humiliated in Washington.

Amid these developments, Trump adviser Elon Musk stirred controversy by suggesting Russia could gain if he disabled Starlink services, a notion he dismissed as a hypothetical. Peskov reiterated the need for Russians to remain cautious yet hopeful, as U.S.-Ukraine talks continue in Saudi Arabia.
