Himachal BJP Plans Mega Protest Against Congress Government

Himachal Pradesh BJP leaders announce a large protest on March 27 against the Congress government's alleged failure to address issues such as law and order and drug trafficking. The party criticizes the government for unmet promises, describing it as incompetent and claims public dissatisfaction.

In a bold move, Himachal Pradesh's BJP leadership, including chief Rajiv Bindal and ex-chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, revealed plans for a major protest outside the Vidhan Sabha on March 27. The demonstration aims to spotlight important issues such as deteriorating law and order, drug trafficking, and chitta smuggling.

During a joint press conference, BJP leaders accused the Congress government of failing to deliver on six out of ten electoral promises, labeling it as the most inefficient administration in the state's political history. They further asserted that if deception were an academic discipline, the current Congress administration would hold a doctorate.

The BJP plans to keep pressure on the government both inside and outside the assembly, particularly during the third ongoing budget session. The protest will also emphasize the concerning rise in drug overdose fatalities, with over ten occurring in just two months. Preparations for the mass demonstration, including a recent district meeting in Shimla, are already underway.
