The Maharashtra state government, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has declared an enhanced alert level for the police, the Coast Guard, and the Navy. This announcement comes amid simmering tensions with Pakistan, necessitating scrupulous adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs).
In a meeting aimed at scrutinizing the state's internal security status, Fadnavis emphasized the proactive measures being undertaken to fortify Maharashtra's coastline. This move comes after a foiled attempt by Pakistan to target Indian military installations was repelled.
Meanwhile, the Indian armed forces recently conducted precision missile strikes on nine terror targets located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan, as part of Operation Sindoor, following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack. Efforts continue to neutralize any further threats from across the border.
