Farmers in Haryana Bear Brunt of Fertiliser Shortages

In a strong critique of the ruling BJP, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda has voiced significant concerns about the impact of fertiliser shortages on Haryana's farmers. As the paddy transplantation season begins, Hooda claims that farmers are struggling without adequate fertiliser supply.

The former Haryana chief minister alleged that the BJP government repeatedly fails to arrange timely fertiliser deliveries, forcing farmers to procure costly alternatives, thereby increasing their economic burden. This situation, he argues, affects crop yields and productivity.

Hooda also called attention to ongoing issues with minimum support prices (MSP) for maize and sunflower crops. Despite government promises, farmers are said to sell their produce below MSP, exacerbating their financial woes.
