In a significant parliamentary session next week, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are set to engage in extensive 16-hour discussions regarding the Pahalgam terror incident and the subsequent retaliatory Operation Sindoor.

The decision, stemming from Business Advisory Committee meetings, comes amid opposition calls for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's input, although no official commitment has been made by the government. The discussions are planned for July 28 and 29, contingent on smooth proceedings.

Regular sessions have been marred by opposition protests, notably concerning Bihar's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Opposition leaders demand broader debates, but government assurances remain focused on the upcoming talks, coinciding with Modi's return from abroad.
