Tensions have flared as the BJP accused the Samajwadi Party of hosting a political meeting inside a mosque near Parliament. Snapping back, the Samajwadi Party insists it was purely a social gathering. The BJP's allegations sparked outrage, with claims they aim to divert attention from real issues.
A photograph of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav with several party members in the mosque surfaced, stirring controversy. The BJP's IT head, Amit Malviya, alleged hypocrisy, pointing to SP's past criticism of the Ram Temple inauguration, which they labeled a 'political project'. This, said Malviya, contradicts their secularism stance.
Countering the charges, Akhilesh Yadav insisted that faith brings positivity and unity, dismissing BJP's angle as negativity. SP leaders, including Dimple Yadav, argue that the ruling party is avoiding discussions on critical topics like intelligence lapses in recent attacks. The war of words continues to spotlight political tensions.
