BJP Hails Modi's Firm Stance on Farmer Welfare Against US Tariff Pressure

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is rallying behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his steadfast position on safeguarding Indian farmers' interests in light of heightened tariffs from the US. BJP MP Dinesh Sharma assured that India would not succumb to international pressure, prioritizing farmers' welfare.

Drawing attention to India's burgeoning consumer market and increased production capabilities, Sharma emphasized the country's commitment to self-reliance and farmers' prosperity. He declared that any perception of India compromising for external approval is outdated.

Echoing this sentiment, BJP MP Mayank Nayak revealed Modi's ongoing efforts to enrich farmers by implementing beneficial schemes and ensuring equitable crop pricing. Despite opposition criticism, Nayak maintained that Modi's decisions align with the support of 140 crore Indians.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske dismissed US President Donald Trump's comments as trivial while praising Modi's farmer-first policies. Modi's assertion of not yielding to US demands underscores India's dedication to its agricultural community, even if it incurs steep costs, against a backdrop of rising US tariffs.
