Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal has criticized Rahul Gandhi's recent allegations of electoral fraud, describing them as 'irresponsible' and urging the Congress party to address these internal issues. Khandelwal, speaking to reporters after a visit from Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, stressed that Gandhi's accusations lack factual basis and serve only to create unwarranted tension.
Rahul Gandhi had earlier claimed that the BJP and the Election Commission were engaged in 'institutionalized chori'—a supposed scheme to disenfranchise lower-income voters. Gandhi cited a so-called 'criminal fraud' involving electoral rolls, which he deemed a 'crime against the Constitution.'
Khandelwal dismissed these statements as baseless and emphasized the need for responsible dialogue, noting that Gandhi should not misuse his position to spread misinformation. He suggested that the Congress focus on internal party matters rather than propagate unsubstantiated claims.
