In a bold statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent speech, CPI(ML) Liberation leader Dipankar Bhattacharya contended that no evidence of illegal immigration exists in Bihar. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, Bhattacharya accused the government of using a 'bogey' of infiltration to push divisive agendas.
Bhattacharya highlighted discrepancies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, noting that the Election Commission of India has not identified any foreign nationals, despite massive voter deletions. He also criticized the lack of proper channels for political objections, citing this as a failure of the electoral process.
The CPI(ML) plans to launch a voter awareness yatra in Bihar to protest voter deletions and alleged threats to democracy. In addition, they voiced solidarity with Tamil Nadu sanitation workers, urging the government to address their rights amid reports of oppression and outsourcing.
