Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday to clarify who pressured him into forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations related to the Dharmasthala case.

Concerns have been raised following the exhumation of bodies based on an anonymous complaint, which accuses authorities of forcing multiple burials. Vijayendra suggests a 'big conspiracy' against the temple town housing the Manjunathaswamy Temple, questioning Siddaramaiah's sudden decision to constitute the SIT despite previous reluctance.

He further accused opponents of orchestrating the controversy, targeting BJP and RSS leaders, and demanded the state government address these allegations publicly. Vijayendra warned that devotees would protest if the government dismisses the issue.
