Ajay Rai, the UPCC president, explained that leaders and workers from these Uttar Pradesh districts have significant ties and influence in Bihar, which could be pivotal for the INDIA bloc's success. This strategic move underscores the party's commitment to consolidating its support base across state lines.

The Congress will contest 61 seats in Bihar, down from 2020. As nomination filing concludes, the INDIA bloc, despite internal competition, aims to make significant gains. Bihar's 243-member Assembly will be contested in two phases, with results declared on November 14.
