The BJP and its ally JD(S) have taken significant steps to strengthen their political alliance by deciding to establish coordination committees at the state level and in the Greater Bengaluru Authority area. Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra announced this development on Tuesday.
In a meeting with JD(S) leader and Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Vijayendra discussed the idea of forming these committees, which both leaders support. As elections loom for five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority, they aim to strategically coordinate both in Bengaluru and statewide.
The alliance criticizes the current Congress-led government's management, particularly in Bengaluru, where infrastructure issues have been highlighted. Vijayendra also addressed allegations of misused state funds for election purposes, asserting the BJP-JD(S) collaboration as a response to what they view as deteriorating governance.
