European Nations Propose Peace Plan Amid Ukraine Conflict
European countries are collaborating with Ukraine on a 12-point peace plan to end the conflict with Russia. The plan includes a ceasefire along current battle lines, security guarantees for Ukraine, and a pathway to EU membership, while involving negotiations on occupied territories without recognizing them as Russian.
In a bid to halt ongoing hostilities, European nations have put forth a 12-point peace proposal in collaboration with Ukraine to end Russia's war along existing battle lines, according to a Bloomberg News report released on Tuesday.
Central to the plan is a peace board chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, overseeing the proposal's implementation, which insists on an immediate ceasefire and leverages current positions as the foundation for future discussions.
Included in this comprehensive framework are security assurances, financial aid for reconstruction, and swift European Union membership prospects for Ukraine, contingent upon a mutual ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners and deported children.
