During President Droupadi Murmu's recent visit to Kerala, significant security concerns were raised by Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrashekhar. He criticized the state government for lapses in both aerial and road security arrangements.
Highlighting the issues, Chandrashekhar pointed out the challenges faced due to inclement weather, which led to a last-minute change in helicopter landing plans. Despite precautions, part of the helipad at Pramadam Stadium sank after the President's helicopter landed. Immediate interventions by police and fire department personnel were necessary to address this unexpected situation.
Further complicating matters, a stray dog breached security barriers and approached the landing area shortly before the President's helicopter was scheduled to arrive. Chandrashekhar emphasized the need for better contingency planning and adherence to security protocols by the state government.
