The tension within the political landscape of Bihar is intensifying as Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sanjay Jaiswal has launched a scathing attack on Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor. Jaiswal criticized Kishor's electoral strategy, predicting all 153 candidates fielded by Jan Suraaj would lose their deposits in the forthcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Jaiswal's remarks came in response to Kishor's allegations against the BJP. Kishor accused the party of orchestrating a campaign to coerce candidates into withdrawing from the race, describing it as unprecedented political 'loot'. He cited undue influence over candidates by senior BJP figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, as a part of this strategy.
The 2025 Bihar elections are set for a heated contest between two major coalitions: the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan, with Kishor's Jan Suraaj challenging all 243 seats. The elections will be contested in two phases, with results announced on November 14, setting the stage for a significant political showdown.
