Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh raised suspicions over the recent special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, completed in just one month for 7 to 8 crore voters, questioning the process's integrity.
Singh highlighted discrepancies, noting the deletion of 62 lakh voter names and the addition of 20 lakh new ones, some without applications. He urged political action to ensure the inclusion of Aadhaar as citizenship proof, currently excluded by the Election Commission (EC).
Focusing on Madhya Pradesh's pending SIR, Singh announced the Congress's intent to scrutinize and correct voter lists, stressing the Supreme Court's pending decision on related petitions as a significant concern.
