As Prime Minister Narendra Modi entered the Lok Sabha to discuss the 150 years of 'Vande Mataram,' BJP members heralded him with a jubilant slogan highlighting their recent electoral victory. 'Bihar ki jeet hamari hai, ab Bengal ki bari hai' echoed through the gallery, translated as 'We won Bihar. It's now the turn of West Bengal'.
The slogan underscored the ruling National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) triumph in retaining power in Bihar's recent legislative assembly polls. The NDA coalition, inclusive of BJP, JD(U), LJP (RV), and other parties, won a commanding 202 seats in the 243-member assembly, overshadowing the opposition Mahagathbandhan.
The assembly polls predicted for next year in West Bengal have become a focal point following NDA's commanding win in Bihar, with BJP supporters eagerly anticipating replicating their success in the eastern state.
