Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday launched a scathing critique of the BJP, accusing the party of undermining democracy through 'vote theft'. Addressing a massive audience at the 'Vote Chori, Gaddi Chhod' rally held at the Ramlila grounds, he urged citizens to stand against these practices.

Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized that when democracy was established in the nation 78 years ago, its foundation rested on empowering every citizen with the right to vote. He claimed that Congress had historically won and lost elections to preserve this crucial democratic power, which he believes the BJP is now eroding.

As the rally progressed, Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala revealed that the party had amassed nearly six crore signatures nationwide against 'vote theft'. Notable leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, reiterated their commitment to defending democratic integrity.
