Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched an attack on the RSS and BJP, accusing them of attempting to centralize power while emphasizing his party's support for decentralization.
Speaking at a Mahapanchayat, Gandhi highlighted the Congress's role in implementing the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments to bolster the three-tier Panchayati Raj system, seeing it as crucial to protecting the Constitution and promoting governance at the grassroots level.
He cited Malayalam writer M Leelavathi, warning of a spreading 'culture of silence,' which he attributed to BJP's strategy for allowing a few corporates to gain control. Gandhi confidently stated that Kerala's people would not be silenced and would express their dissent through elections.
