President Donald Trump stated that the United States would quickly pull out of Iran, with potential 'spot hits' if needed. Ahead of a national address, Trump criticized NATO for its lack of support in Iran, exacerbating transatlantic tensions. The president warned of possibly withdrawing from the alliance, citing insufficient cooperation.
Trump emphasized that although he did not aim for regime change in Iran, the casualties of the conflict have resulted in one. He stressed the prevention of nuclear weapon development as a major victory, assuring that Iran is now incapable of achieving such a capability. Nonetheless, negotiations with Iran continue, with Trump open to a ceasefire under certain conditions.
Amid soaring energy prices and global inflation concerns, a significant portion of the American public supports a quick end to U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict. However, Trump remains firm on ensuring no nuclear threat from Iran, maintained by continued satellite surveillance despite intact uranium reserves.
