Saokat Molla, representing the Trinamool Congress (TMC), stands as the candidate for the Bhangar assembly seat. Despite facing accusations from the opposition ISF and BJP regarding alleged involvement in constituency violence, Molla's official affidavit asserts he has no pending criminal charges.
The affidavit highlights that Molla possesses immovable assets valued at Rs 1.54 crore, with his spouse holding Rs 1.18 crore in property. In addition to these, their combined movable assets are valued at Rs 90 lakh, among other declared properties.
Molla earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science in 2021 and cites his primary income as an MLA, alongside revenues from agriculture and fishery, reporting an annual income of Rs 17.46 lakh for the financial year 2024-25.
