Congress Kerala's CM Candidate: Decision Deferred to AICC

KPCC president Sunny Joseph announced that the Kerala Congress is deferring its decision on the chief ministerial candidate to the All India Congress Committee (AICC). His comments came amid speculations and discussions about potential leaders.

Joseph expressed gratefulness for public confidence in a potential Congress-led government, post-election results. He emphasized the established process within the party for selecting a Chief Minister, which involves consultations after the May 4 results of the Assembly election, held on April 9.

While figures like V D Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and K C Venugopal are considered contenders, senior leader V M Sudheeran dismissed these debates as untimely. K Muraleedharan remarked that such discussions entertain rather than influence the party's decision-making.
