Senior BJP candidate P C George on Sunday expressed strong confidence in securing a victory in Kerala's Poonjar Assembly constituency, going so far as to stake a Rs 1 crore bet on his win.
His optimism extends to his son, Shone George, whom he predicts will win in the adjoining Pala constituency. According to George, the next Assembly will witness the duo's joint presence.
George anticipates a hung Assembly in Kerala, with BJP, led locally by Rajeev Chandrasekhar, gaining ground. He projects the Congress-led UDF as the largest front and suggests the NDA may capture around 11 seats. Recent criticism of Church leaders has put him in the spotlight as the results loomed following the April 9 polling.
