The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has issued a bold challenge to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as fresh elections loom in the Falta assembly constituency. Scheduled for May 21, this re-vote follows allegations of significant electoral misconduct and tampering during the prior election round.
In a strongly worded message, TMC urged the BJP to leverage its full political machinery, even calling for the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Despite this, TMC expressed confidence in Falta's electorate, asserting their decision to vote against BJP.
The Election Commission has announced that the entire 285 booths in Falta will be under strict security measures to ensure a transparent election process. The outcome will likely have significant political repercussions, with TMC optimistic about a favorable result.
