Charan Boro, the Assam cabinet Minister and leader of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), has successfully defended his Mazbat constituency. Official data from the Election Commission reveals Boro secured a victory margin of over 55,000 votes against his opponent from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Priti Rekha Barla.

Boro's latest triumph adds to his impressive political track record, marking his third consecutive win in assembly elections. He amassed a total of 84,718 votes, while Barla managed 29,172 votes. This result underscores Boro's significant influence in the region.

Boro, the solitary BPF representative in the outgoing ministry, was inducted last October when his party joined the BJP-led NDA government. His continued success further strengthens BPF's position within the political framework of Assam.
