Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann strongly criticized the BJP on Monday, asserting that the saffron party will never come to power in the border state. Mann accused the BJP of delivering 'step-motherly treatment' to Punjab while highlighting the party's victories in West Bengal and Assam.
Mann emphasized that despite BJP's successes elsewhere, gaining power in Punjab is impossible due to the party's 'long saga of injustice.' He cited the humiliation Punjabis felt during the farm law protests and criticized BJP's handling of regional institutions like Panjab University and Bhakra Beas Management Board.
Addressing the issue of 'beadbi' or sacrilege, Mann shared that the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Amendment Act 2026 aims to curb such incidents. Mann plans a 'Shukrana Yatra' to thank the divine, underscoring Punjab's unyielding spirit and resistance to alleged BJP misdeeds.
