In a shocking incident, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has voiced strong condemnation of the murder of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, describing it as emblematic of the 'blood-soaked political culture' in West Bengal.
Rath was tragically shot by assailants on motorbikes who intercepted his vehicle in Madhyamgram and opened fire at close range before escaping the scene. Pradhan, in a post on X, labeled the killing a 'cold-blooded, barbaric and cowardly execution by TMC goons,' and underscored the persistent targeting of BJP workers in the state.
The Minister further criticized what he described as a 'deliberate ecosystem of terror', aiming to silence democratic opposition through violence, as support for the Trinamool Congress dwindles. Pradhan emphasized accountability, vowing that justice would be served to those responsible for such political violence.
