Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari has launched a severe critique of the BJP following the recent assembly elections. He claimed that Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee might have avoided her electoral defeat had she allied with Congress.

Tiwari, speaking in Vrindavan, expressed concerns about the undermining of democratic processes, accusing the Central government and related agencies of constitutional overreach. He stated that BJP's reliance on defectors for leadership roles could lead to internal conflicts with the RSS, affecting future elections.

Reaffirming the need for a unified opposition, he described Congress as the only party capable of challenging the BJP. Tiwari highlighted perceived betrayals by the BJP, particularly concerning women's representation, marking an absence of female leaders appointed as chief ministers.
