The BJP achieved a sweeping victory in Haryana's municipal corporation elections, making significant gains in Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini celebrated this triumph, calling it a reflection of public endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Aside from the surprise win by an independent candidate in Uklana, the BJP dominated other civic body polls. The party earned key posts like the presidency in Sampla, overcoming areas traditionally controlled by the Congress, which notably did not field candidates in certain places like Sampla.
Opposition parties, including the INLD and AAP, failed to secure wins. Celebrating the BJP's success, Saini criticized the opposition, particularly the Congress, describing their election strategies as hinged on deception. These results underscore a continued trend of public support for the BJP's development-focused platform.
